In 2022 and 2023, LSZ published five digital releases with titles bearing segments of a poem, each containing a study of loop-based composition from a different perspective. These five pieces explore recursion through the lens of modular synthesis, approaching cyclical repetition as both a rigid windowed section of time, and as a representation of an oscillator with a novel waveform.
After the fifth session was published, the decision was made to collect the entirety of the work into a self-contained box set edition, and to offer it here at Psoma Psi Phi in order to better distribute the work to receptive ears and minds. 'In Curvature' is a unique map marker in the wider landscape of my creative work, and this box set contains a printed sheet that compiles my notes written for each individual release, alongside black and white reproductions of each album's cover art.
All of the visuals for 'In Curvature' are carefully selected crops of larger images by Luigi Mayer from the early 1800s, whose work has been a synaesthetic influence on my own for many years now, even before I could consider myself a musician (and at forty years of age, with twenty-six of those years devoted to music, I still wonder whether or not I am qualified to call myself this).
'In Curvature' offers all five pieces in this polyptych for a reduced combination price, although it is also possible to buy individual recordings for their original list price of $6.66 each. Curious listeners are encouraged to explore the wider LSZ/Limestone Ziggurat catalog at
