'The Road Breaks Apart' was recorded live on November 14th, 2023 using the Moog Subharmonicon analog synthesizer. It is an exploration of polyrhythmic sequencing using just intonation, with subtle augmentation from the R-EW Audioholistics modular system.

It hovers in the air like a fog of paranoia, a cloud filled to bursting with worry and dread. It isn't something we can recommend sleeping or meditating to, however, darker tones such as these are immensely useful in the facilitation of other creative endeavors, such as writing, painting and photographic/design work.

Addressing a number of nonspecific world events currently in motion, 'The Road Breaks Apart' is meant as an acknowledgment of suffering, and an exercise in perhaps the oldest method of creative work: expression of grief, processing pain and attempting to alleviate the mind from being burdened by it.

It has always been a chaotic and dark world, and as Winter tightens its grasp, it becomes even darker. It is our sincere hope that this unburdening of emotional weight can be repurposed, transfiguring just a little bit more of the darkness, and thereby functioning as a ladder, even just a short one, leading up and out of the abyss.
